Our resources offer proven, innovative, and hands-on scientific investigations and activities designed for primary school educators.
Over the past 20 years, in which more than 8000 primary school students and 450 teachers have taken part, we’ve developed our Hands-on + Fun = Minds-on! model through Action Research at an IB PYP school. Our videos guide teachers in enhancing their science lessons, building confidence in teaching, and helping students develop scientific and design thinking, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills. At the same time, students discover the foundational concepts of science – all while having fun!

I first met Marti in 2016 and since then I’ve really enjoyed working with her to support science learning in school. Her SciencEd videos have become a regular part of our teaching at VIS. They are practical, engaging and always at the right level for both students and teachers.
Bobby Kelly, Primary School Teacher, Reeds UK

The learning acquired through the fun and well-designed investigations and STEAM challenges, facilitates students with the development of connections between other situations and topics, that promotes the building of scientific knowledge. It is a connected learning approach that promotes action and agency.
The knowledge and understanding of the scientific principles build from prior experiences of students, and construct on their interest to real issues, by observations of patterns and cycles, and the exploration of the processes and systems of our natural environment.

When it comes to making complex science topics experiential, easy-to-understand and a lot of fun, Marti is on a whole other level. I honestly don’t know anyone else who brings science alive for children in the way that Marti does. Marti’s knowledge and passion make her quite simply the best science teacher I have ever met.

Our program model focuses on the integration of the main big ideas of science needed to create the foundation for science literacy in primary school. It includes the age-specific use of technology to solve the STEAM challenges presented through learning scenarios. We also offer the integration of active Sustainability Education aiming for action and supporting students’ agency to establish the basis of Climate Change education.
